In a statement this Thursday, Acave pointed out that, despite the fact that more and more travelers are opting for long and medium distance travel for their summer holidays, Spanish destinations continue to have high demand, with the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands being the most requested. followed by Andalusia , Costa Brava, Andorra and Murcia , and cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastián and Bilbao.

Regarding the medium distance offer, reservations for this summer are mainly aimed at Europe, with destinations such as Croatia, Belgium, France and Scandinavia.
Regarding long-haul destinations, this summer it is expected that South America and Southeast Asia will have a greater number of tourists from Catalonia and Spain.
Brazil , Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia and Argentina are some of the most in-demand destinations in South America, while in Southeast Asia countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Iran and Fiji stand out.
Africa will also be important with countries like Egypt and Mozambique, with a high demand for the beaches of the latter country and products aimed at safaris throughout the continent, and it is also worth highlighting the offer of cruises, with new routes in the Mediterranean and Caribbean and river cruises through Europe.
